SIRCLES project, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Rene Moawad Foundation, launched a call for sub-grants for new and existing projects related to biowaste management in Lebanon, on September 1st, 2022.
The objective of this call for sub-grant is to support new or existing companies in Lebanon following a circular economy business model in the field of biowaste management. All proposed projects must therefore contribute to increase green employment opportunities, especially for vulnerable social groups/groups at risk of social exclusion (i.e., NEET and women).
Submission of applications is open to both legal entities (registered according to Lebanese law) or natural persons residing in Lebanon, to enable them to develop or establish projects in the biowaste management sector by following the circular economy business model.
Sub-grants of a minimum of €10,000.00 and a maximum of €35,000.00 will be awarded to each applicant within a maximum period of 6 months (starting in February 2023) and the funding shall take the forms of reimbursement of costs.
