Education and Child Protection Special Project
This project is designed to wiork with at-risk and hard-to-reach adolescent girls and boys between 11 and 18 years with increased BLN and skills, as well as access to appropriate services and protected from violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect.
The planned project activities include:
- Basic Literacy and numeracy application for girls and boys
- Basic Literacy and Numeracy classes (BLN)
- Homework support classes
- Technical and Vocational Education Trainings (TVET)
- Apprenticeship opportunities
- Awareness sessions
- Parenting skills programme
- Referral to livelihood opportunities
Estimated Results:
- 160 adolescent girls and boys have access to basic literacy and numeracy classes and homework support.
- 80 adolescent girls and boys have access to vocational training and economic support
- 150 adolescent girls and boys have access to quality and appropriate multi-sectoral services
- 100 adolescent girls and boys have access to quality case management
- 150 caregivers have access to parenting skills and awareness sessions
- 15 caregivers have been referred to livelihoods opportunities
